On the boundary with no.38 there is a jacaranda tree (Jacaranda mimosifolia) and around it and over it, a wisteria vine (Wisteria sinesis). Over the years I have been impressed by the tree’s and the vine’s expansion above and below ground. While their branches have stretched to the sky, their roots have spread through the garden beds. Two horticulturists have told me the wisteria will kill the jacaranda. That was over 20 years ago.
